I was recently given two old prints that I fell in love with. Although different subject matter, they both are similar in their grey/black and cream tones. The frames were very old and falling apart, and there was water damage on the old matts.
I took them to get professionally re-framed (and was shocked at how much this cost!!!). Here they are now:
I always love farm type scenes, such as this one of a lady in a field.
I'm also drawn to old, classic, romantic prints. My husband particularly likes this one....I wonder why? Sheesh, men!
The prints will no longer degrade, and I'm so glad I splurged and got them professionally framed. They are only prints, and I'm not sure if they have any value, but I love them, so they're valuable to me!
I haven't hung them yet as I'm waiting to get the walls painted in the rooms they're going in. I can't wait to show you once they're in their final spots! In fact, hubby is busy painting now as I type this (what a good man!).

Those look great and framing is so expensive. I try to avoid it if I can. Yes, men, what can we say!
I think they are pretty and well worth the cost to be framed and matted again. You will treasure them forever!

Those are such pretty prints - I especially love the first one. We have quite a few albumens (old photographs) and etchings around our house as well. I love the classic warm feeling they give to a room.
First I want to offer up my condolences in the loss of your grandmother. I'm so very sorry that I didn't see your earlier post. Prayers coming your way for peace and comfort during this difficult time.
I love these prints! I like art that has people in it. Don't know if you have a Hobby Lobby store where you live, but I've found them to be the cheapest for framing. I wait until they run their 50% off sale.
